
DEANNA BERRY
Chief Operating Officer
After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Deanna entered the corporate world as a Marketing Assistant at Aaron Rents, Inc. Within a few months, she advanced to Merchandising and Marketing Manager for the corporate furnishings division, where she was responsible for developing product lineups and executing merchandising and marketing strategies.

In 2013, Deanna joined McWhorter Capital Partners as Creative Director. As the company grew, so did her role, culminating in her current position as Chief Operating Officer across the McWhorter family of companies. While she oversees operations at a broad level, her primary focus is on the growth and performance of the company’s outdoor advertising assets.

Deanna has played a key role in the development and expansion of the outdoor advertising division since its inception. Following the initial plant acquisition in 2016, she managed all aspects of the business, including sales, land leases, contracts, accounting, and day-to-day operations.
​
After the sale of Horton Outdoor in 2021, the company re-entered the out-of-home advertising industry in 2022 with a strategic billboard acquisition in Pennsylvania. Today, under McWhorter Media Group, the company owns and operates a portfolio of digital and traditional billboard assets across South Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
In her current role, Deanna focuses on due diligence for acquisitions, operational oversight, and driving continued growth across the portfolio.

Deanna attended the University of Georgia prior to her military service and later earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Kennesaw State University.

A resident of Bartow County, Deanna lives with her husband and two children. She is active in her community and is involved in various nonprofit initiatives, boards, and fundraising efforts.
