K.D. Gazaway has built her career by developing relationships with purpose, gratitude and enthusiasm. Her industry background is in group health insurance and employee benefits with a business development and sales focus.

 

Before joining McWhorter Capital Partners, K.D. worked with a provider network based in Dalton, GA and then transitioned through acquisition to physician contracting for one of the first Provider Sponsored Health Plans in the state of Georgia, Alliant Health Plans.  She then moved to work with ShawHankins, a group benefits brokerage, in public relations. As her expertise in the industry grew, she moved into sales and spent the next 15 years as Business Development Director of the firm.  She found her motivation in helping underserved public sector employers.  In her time with the firm she orchestrated exponential public sector growth, expanded the company’s regional footprint, increased brand recognition which led to a largely referral-based business. 

 

K.D. is a licensed life and health producer in Georgia.  She is a past board member of Cartersville-Bartow Chamber of Commerce, Northwest Georgia American Red Cross, Tri-Delta Philanthropic Foundation and Cartersville City Schools PTC.  She is a graduate of Leadership Bartow.

 

K.D. graduated from the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications.  She lives in Cartersville with her two daughters, Zane and Sophie.  She enjoys her family, her friends, her community, reading, tennis and football. Go Dawgs and Canes!
