MIKE MURPHY

CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD

Michael Steven Murphy was born in Ft. Wayne Indiana.  Upon graduating from high school, he attended and graduated from Tuskegee Institute where he earned a B.A. degree in 1978.

 

Mr. Murphy began his professional career in Ft.Wayne working for International Harvester as a Management Trainee in 1976. In advancing his career he and his family have relocated throughout the United States over twelve times.

 

He has worked for industry leaders such as Johnson & Johnson, PepsiCo, International Harvester and Anheuser-Busch Inbev.  His expertise includes financial management, strategic planning, project development/execution, budgeting/finance, and data management.  Mike has led these organizations through start-ups, turnarounds and growth modes.  He understands the importance of workforce development, accountability, and results.

 

As General Manager, Mr. Murphy led the management team at Anheuser-Busch InBev, in Cartersville Georgia, to achieve world class results in the areas of safety, quality, operating costs and environmental goals.

 

Mr. Murphy has served as a Board Member for the GateKey Scholars, Etowah Scholarship Foundation, Georgia Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of Bartow Co.   He also served as an Advisory Board Member for Georgia Highlands College, the Advisory Panel for Math and Science of Kennesaw State University and on the Board commission for the State of Colorado for Adult Literacy.

 

In his free time Mike enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, church obligations and golf.
